Britain leads Europe

A recent survey has placed Britain firmly at the top of the pile when it comes to flying with budget carriers.

According to the statistics, over 40% of adults residing in the UK have travelled with a low cost carrier. The research carried out by a leading market information company compared the UK with four other European countries including France and Germany, it found that British desire for low cost flying is between two and three times higher than in the other countries participating in the exercise.

It would appear that the UK is partnered by Italy in so much that their citizens will sacrifice comfort and service in return for cheaper rates. Whilst in Germany, comfort and service tops the list of what they look for when booking a flight, the Spanish on the other hand were a little more cautious about the safety of low cost carriers.

In the UK, low cost or no frills airlines fly from most of the major UK airports and offer great savings, so if you do not have a low cost carrier operating near you why not take a trip to the nearest airport that they do operate from.
