New flights between Gatwick Airport and New York
British Airways (BA) has announced it has launched a new daily service between New York and Gatwick Airport. Flights from JFK to Gatwick Airport commenced on October 26th and will continue every evening with passengers arriving in London the following morning.
The new route means that BA now operates 62 weekly flights from the New York gateway to London hubs including Heathrow Airport and Gatwick Airport.
Boeing 777 aircraft are operated on for the long-haul journeys with tickets split into four classes, ranging from 14 First Class seats to 124 World Traveller places.
Simon Smith, executive vice president of Americas at BA, said: "The new JFK-Gatwick flight will give our customers even more choice when flying between New York and London."
Passengers wanting to fly this route will be able to check-in via their mobile phone or Blackberry after BA announced it has launched a remote check-in service.
By logging onto www.ba.com/mobile, passengers will have the chance to select seats and check-in though their mobile devices.
