More choice from Leeds/Bradford Airport
Low-cost Irish carrier Ryanair has announced new flights from Leeds/Bradford Airport to the Spanish city of Girona. The new service will fly four times a week from the Yorkshire hub, in addition to another new service to Alicante which will begin on October 28th.
Leeds/Bradford Airport spokesman, Tony Hallwood, noted that the increasing demand for Spanish flights from the airport was behind these new routes, saying: "We are delighted to see the start of these new services with Ryanair.
"Their popularity is testament to the huge demand for low-cost air travel in Yorkshire and it is fantastic to see Ryanair developing their range of international services from Leeds Bradford."
Flights into Barcelona Girona Airport will link the Yorkshire airport to what is known at the gateway to the Costa Brava, with Barcelona less than two hours to the south and the French border around an hour to the north.
Leeds/Bradford Airport is widely regarded as one of the UK's fastest-growing hubs, with a reported 1.2 million passengers this summer.
