New destination from Manchester Airport

New destination from Manchester AirportBudget airline easyJet has announced it will begin new services from Manchester Airport to Sofia later this year.

From December 11th, the low-cost carrier will begin flying to the Bulgarian capital three times weekly, while it was confirmed that the fares will cost £29.99 for a one way ticket and £33.99 return.

This new service comes in addition to the airline's existing route to Sofia from Gatwick Airport, which operates daily.

Carly Brear, easyJet's UK commercial manager, said: "These two new routes from Manchester are further proof that there is demand for direct low-fare services from the north-west to Europe.

"The Bulgarian capital, Sofia, is also expected to be popular as more people discover what the city and its surrounding areas have to offer."

Recently, easyJet reported that it flew 4.2 million passengers across its entire operation in September this year, which represents a load factor of 86.9 per cent, up from the 84.1 per cent in the previous year.
