Flights to Gambia from Bristol Airport
Passengers flying from Bristol Airport will have a greater choice of destinations this winter with an increased number of services to Gambia, it has been reported. Specialist tour operator the Gambia Experience will commence its winter schedule in November, offering twice weekly services from the airport to the small west African republic.
A statement on Bristol Airport's website also confirms that the company will offer increased capacity, as well as a greater focus on luxury packages and options.
The Gambia Experience has been in operation for more than 20 years and is the only tour operator offering a service to Gambia from Bristol Airport.
It has recently been reported that plans for a runway extension at Bristol Airport, with a view to the airport handling 12 million passengers annually by 2030, have been met with controversy from some local critics.
Plans are also being considered to build a 65-foot wind turbine at Bristol Airport to help provide the site with a clean energy supply.
