Tango in Dublin
Holidaymakers visiting Dublin later this month will be able to strut their stuff at a dance festival, according to reports. The International Tango Festival has returned to the Irish capital for the sixth time and will take place from the 28th to the 31st of August in various destinations across the vibrant city.
Tango novices can learn the basics at workshops for beginners but are urged not to forget the red rose between their teeth.
Lovers of the Latin dance craze can enjoy a series of films about the movement including a documentary about Tango in Argentina which will educate people about the social history of the dance.
The highlight of the festival is likely to be the frantic club night held on the last night of the event which promises to keep people dancing until the early hours.
Research from Tourism Ireland revealed that of the 4.97 million Britons who visited Ireland in 2006, 63 per cent stayed in Dublin.
