Leeds to host new connection to New York
Jet2.com has announced it will begin flights from Leeds/Bradford Airport to New York starting in November.Travellers are urged to book early as the airline's first ever transatlantic trips from the Yorkshire airport are expected to sell out quickly.
Richard Bodin, managing director at Jet2holidays.com, said: "This is an important announcement for us.
"We knew this destination was one that our customers have been calling for and we are proud and thrilled to be able to be the first holiday company in the region to offer this great deal to such an amazing city."
Jet2holidays.com will offer packages with tourists able to choose from a number of three to five-star hotel options for journeys over the Christmas period.
"This is the first in a series of exciting, specialist holidays that will allow people to experience a whole new range of activities and destinations," added Mr Bodin.
Jet2.com will be flying to eight new destinations this summer with Hamburg, Madrid, Sardinia, Cyprus, Crete, Avignon, Jersey and La Rochelle among the locations.
