Cast changes for Chicago
A number of cast changes will take place in the West End show Chicago from June 2nd, according to reports.Anna Jane Casey will play Velma Kelly, one of the musical's lead roles, while Victor McGuire and Sue Kelvin will also return as Amos Hart and Mama Morton.
It has already been announced that Suzanne Shaw, former pop star and winner of TV show Dancing on Ice, will play the character of Roxie Hart from June 2nd.
Chicago opened at the Adelphi Theatre in 1997 and is now taking bookings at the Cambridge Theatre until August 2009.
In other London theatre news, the Phantom of the Opera has had its booking period extended by six months and tickets are now on sale for dates up to April 25th 2009.
On May 5th, 6th and 7th, the show was closed to allow the installation of a new digital sound system, which boasts a new surround sound setup consisting of 120 speakers positioned throughout the auditorium.
