Thomas Cook takes off from Leeds
Leeds/Bradford Airport has presented regional travellers with a number of new holiday opportunities this month with the launch of new services from Thomas Cook Airlines.The operator commenced a range of new operations from the Yorkshire base on May 1st, boosting its capacity for the summer season by 20 per cent.
Travellers using the airport hotels at Leeds/Bradford will be able to catch Thomas Cook flights to holiday destinations in mainland Spain, the Balearic islands, Greece, Malta, Portugal and others.
The airline will provide the new services using an Airbus A320 carrying 180 passengers.
Frank Pullman, managing director of Thomas Cook Airlines, said the decision to base a new aircraft at Leeds was a response to strong demand.
Tony Hallwood, commercial and aviation development director at the airport, said: "We know for many customers across the Yorkshire region, flying from their regional airport is high priority when booking their holiday and we are delighted that Thomas Cook Holidays are adding to the choice of over 70 destinations on offer from Leeds Bradford International Airport."

They will quickly go out of business flying Airbus A380s with only 180 passengers (largest planes in the world). Probably meant to say Airbus A320s.
