Glasgow Prestwick Airport has reopened Scotland's only route to Marseille in the south of France.Ryanair launched a direct connection between Prestwick and the French city on May 1st.
The service is expected to prove popular among Scots looking for a sunshine break and is set to boost the airport's passenger numbers by around 40,000 over the summer period.
Flights depart three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with an early departure time intended to ensure that visitors can take advantage of a full day at their destination.
Mark Rodwell, chief executive of Glasgow Prestwick, said: "It is great to see the Marseille flights are back for the summer as it is a fantastic destination for a holiday or even a short break.
"Marseille and Provence are areas that have something for everyone, with amazing coastal scenery and there is enough to satisfy those with a passion for art, history, culture, nightlife, sport and great food and drink."
Ashley Casey of Ryanair said the airline was "delighted" to be reintroducing its connection between Glasgow and Marseille.
