Monarch unveils winter schedule
Low-fares airline Monarch has unveiled its winter schedule, with new services for people already planning to get away from the cold British weather.The programme will offer some 1.75 million seats from hubs including Gatwick Airport, Birmingham Airport and Manchester Airport.
The first services announced by Monarch were services to Larnaca in Cyprus from Gatwick and Manchester, with up to three flights a week from both airports.
Monarch's connection between Manchester and Gibraltar will return on a three-a-week basis, while frequency will increase twofold between Gatwick and the Canary Islands of Tenerife and Lanzarote.
There will also be more flights to the Spanish archipelago from Birmingham and Manchester.
Liz Savage, managing director of Monarch's scheduled services, said: "Our customers continue to choose our low fare, more care offer and we are ideally positioned to meet the needs of our customers this winter.
"We are seeing real demand for the Canaries this year and have responded with increased services from all our UK airports, as well as continuing to strengthen our position on our core routes."
