Three new easyJet services from Bristol
EasyJet will launch three new routes from Bristol Airport this week, to Biarritz, Olbia and Split. The first service to Biarritz, in south-west France, departed on April 23rd, while the connections to Olbia in Sardinia and Split in Croatia will both get underway on April 26th.
Biarritz became easyJet's 39th route from Bristol when it launched earlier this week and the first passenger on the service was given two free tickets on the airline's other new flights from Bristol.
All three routes are expected to carry 47,000 passengers in the next 12 months.
David Osborne, easyJet's UK general manager, said that there has been a "huge increase" in the airline's summer sun flights from Bristol Airport this year, with Ibiza, Milan, Lisbon and Funchal among the other destinations in its network from the south-west hub.
Shaun Browne, head of route development at Bristol, said: "The three new easyJet routes provide more exciting options for the south-west's travellers, whether they are looking for a short break or a longer summer holiday.
"Visitors from the region will be ideally placed to appreciate the attractions of all three destinations."
People travelling from Bristol can take advantage of the hub's airport parking facilities, as well as the nearby airport hotels that provide opportunity for relaxation before or after a journey.
