New Gdansk service launched from Cardiff

New Gdansk service launched from CardiffLow-fares airline bmibaby commenced its summer season by launching new flights from Cardiff Airport to Gdansk in Poland on April 1st.

The coming summer is set to be one of the busiest ever for the airline, with more than 134 flights to and from Cardiff during the high season, to 13 European destinations.

Crawford Rix, managing director of bmibaby, said the airline was "delighted" to have launched its new Polish route from the city.

"Bmibaby continually look to offer the people of Wales exciting low-cost destinations that are brand new to the airport and to the region," he added.

"This is further demonstrated by our recent announcement of brand new flights to Barcelona from Cardiff. Flights to the cosmopolitan Spanish city are selling excellently and we anticipate it will be one of the most popular routes from the region."

Gdansk will not be the only new location served by bmibaby from the Welsh capital, as it was recently announced that the carrier will fly twice a week to Barcelona from May 24th.
