Clarify flight details, BA passengers advised

Clarify flight details, BA passengers advisedTravellers who will soon be flying with British Airways from the carrier's new Terminal 5 base at Heathrow Airport have been advised to check their flight details prior to arriving at the hub.

In the biggest airline move in UK history, BA will be transferring the majority of its services to Terminal 5 on March 27th.

This will not include its entire network, however, with flights to Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon, Nice and Helsinki the only European links not to move to Terminal 5 this month.

A number of services to locations in South Africa, North America and Asia will move on March 27th, before a large portion of BA's remaining intercontinental flights make the transition on April 30th.

Robert Boyle, British Airways' commercial director, said: "The opening of Terminal 5 heralds a new era in air travel. Customers can look forward to a calmer, smoother, simpler airport experience at Heathrow.

"We're very excited about the move and hope customers are too. In order for them to arrive ready to fly and knowing what to expect, we've been sending regular communications to them and built a comprehensive microsite to allow them to familiarise themselves with the building and its fantastic facilities."

Travellers at Terminal 5 will reportedly be able to make it from check-in, past a bag-drop point and through security in just ten minutes.
