Heathrow boosts among Air France-KLM developments
Partner airlines Air France and KLM have announced a number of developments for their summer 2008 schedule, including extended operations from Heathrow Airport.Dutch carrier KLM will move its partnership with Northwest Airlines forward with new services from Heathrow and its base at Amsterdam Schiphol.
Northwest will gradually introduce three new US destinations from Heathrow this year Minneapolis, Detroit and Seattle.
Air France will also be boosting its presence in London, which is Europe's biggest market for North Atlantic flights, as it implements its new joint venture agreement with Delta Air Lines.
This summer will bring a total capacity boost of 4.6 per cent on Air France and KLM flights, breaking down into a 5.1 per cent increase in space on long-haul services and a 3.2 per cent expansion in the medium-haul network.
KLM will offer its customers a total of five new destinations Dallas Fort Worth, Texas; Portland, Oregon; Panama; Linkoping, Sweden; and Nantes, France.
