Cardiff makes changes to road system

Cardiff makes changes to road systemCardiff Airport has announced changes to its surrounding road network, making it easier to drop off passengers.

From March 11th, access to the airport will be made easier as drivers will be able to drive outside the terminal building.

People picking up travellers, however, will still have to use the short-stay airport parking facility in order to comply with Department for Transport regulations.

New signs and security measures have been installed around the airport to inform passengers and drivers of the changes.

Graham Gamble, director of operations at Cardiff Airport, said: "Our aim is to make the airport as passenger friendly as possible and the new road access is a welcome step forward for the passenger experience."

Last month, Cardiff Airport hosted the launch of a new service to Warsaw in Poland, provided by low-cost airline bmibaby.

The service will operate every Monday, Wednesday and Sunday during the winter, with the Wednesday flight shifting to Friday for the summer schedule.
