Heathrow fliers treated to Qantas premium economy

Heathrow fliers treated to Qantas premium economyPeople flying into Heathrow Airport will be among the first to experience the new premium economy service offered by Qantas.

The first Qantas plane fitted with a premium economy cabin will fly from Sydney to Hong Kong on March 7th, before services launch from the Australian city to London Heathrow and Johannesburg on April 1st.

Premium economy passengers with Qantas will have access to wide seats, in-arm video monitors, a tailored menu and other features.

The cabin offers "extra space and comfort and enhanced levels of service", according to Qantas executive general manager John Borghetti.

He added: "We have invested significantly in developing this cabin, which is being progressively installed across our B747-400 fleet and will be available on every Qantas A380."

People looking for flights to Australia from Heathrow Airport can choose from services to Sydney on the east coast or Melbourne in the south.
