Flybe to launch new Scottish routes from Birmingham

Flybe to launch new Scottish routes from BirminghamFlybe has announced that it is to launch new routes from Birmingham Airport to Dundee in Scotland.

The carrier's franchise partner Loganair will operate three return flights every weekday, plus a return service on Sundays, from May 21st.

Other new flights to Dundee will be launched from Belfast, with one return service available every day.

The new services are expected to deliver a boost to Dundee City Airport, with a new base being created there, as well as the eastern region of Scotland where the city is located.

Mike Rutter, chief commercial officer of Flybe, said: "With Flybe and Loganair working in partnership, we will be able to offer passengers from across the UK increased services, great fares and new routes to Scottish destinations that support both business and leisure passengers."

Scott Grier, chairman of Loganair, added: "The new routes to Dundee are a welcome addition to the growing network of air services we currently offer travellers in and around Scotland and demonstrate our commitment to providing a first-class service that meets passengers' needs."
