Eastern Airways launches new routes from Newcastle
Regional carrier Eastern Airways has announced new services and extra seat capacity from Newcastle Airport.On March 3rd, the airline increased its flights to Aberdeen Airport from five to six every weekday, while frequency on its route to Southampton was boosted from three to four a day.
Three new flights every weekday will be launched to Cardiff Airport from April 7th, along with two services a day to Stavanger in Norway.
The developments are expected to benefit business travellers in the north-east.
Chris Holliday, Eastern Airways' chief operating officer, said: "Business commuters want punctual, convenient flights specifically timed to suit their travel patterns and our increased services from Newcastle enable us to provide a comprehensive schedule to meet their needs and expectations."
Mr Holliday also announced new fares that are expected to appeal to leisure travellers.
Passengers travelling with Eastern Airways at Newcastle, Southampton and Cardiff can access dedicated fast-track security channels and are not charged for hold baggage.
