Mousetrap extends booking period

Mousetrap extends booking periodThe Mousetrap, the world's longest running play, is set to last a little longer after it was confirmed that the production's booking period had been extended.

Agatha Christie's famous murder mystery will now take bookings at the St Martin's Theatre until November 1st this year.

Despite the length of time for which it has been a part of the London theatre scene, the Mousetrap has managed to retain its secrets, with audience members requested to keep the identity of the killer to themselves.

The play first opened on November 25th 1952 and over the years has notched up more than 20,000 performances.

In other London theatre news, Buddy, the musical that relates the story of Buddy Holly, will now take bookings until March 28th 2009 after an extension to its booking period.

The show covers the tragically short musical career of Buddy Holly up to his death in a plane crash at the age of 22, with songs including Peggy Sue, That'll Be the Day, Oh Boy and Raining in my Heart.
