EMA to host new flights to Cologne

EMA to host new flights to CologneNottingham/East Midlands Airport passengers now have access to new flights to the Germany city of Cologne.

The airport announced the launch of the new service on February 11th and confirmed that flights will operate every day of the week except Saturday.

Caroline Plant, director of marketing and communications at EMA, said that Cologne is a historical city that provides an excellent base from which to explore the rest of the Rhineland and Germany.

She added: "The direct flights will also prove popular with business users, whether they are conducting business in Cologne, Bonn or elsewhere in Germany.

"We are anticipating a huge demand for these flights."

Nottingham/East Midlands Airport saw a record year in 2007, with more than 5.4 million people passing through.

The hub substantially boosted its portfolio of European destinations last year, with new services launching to Tenerife, Poznan, Copenhagen, Oslo and others.
