Gatwick Airport eases hand luggage rules
Passengers catching connecting flights from the north terminal of Gatwick Airport are now able to carry more than one piece of hand luggage with them after security rules were eased. From today (February 11th) passengers transferring between flights at the hub can take more than one piece of hand baggage with them, subject to their airline's restrictions on what they can take aboard flights.
The move comes a little over a month after passengers on connecting flights through the south terminal were once again permitted to take more than one bag through the airport.
In a statement, Gatwick Airport reminded passengers "that the one bag rule per person continues for all other flights".
"This rule will be relaxed in the near future when the ongoing construction project to upgrade and expand the security facilities at the airport is completed," it added.
Other restrictions on hand luggage also remain in place, with passengers only permitted to take bags measuring 56cm x 45 cam x 25 cm on board aircraft.
Liquids are also restricted, with passengers allowed to carry them in containers which hold less than 100ml.

Hello, I am travelling to Thessaloniki in Greece tomorrow afternoon with Olympic Airlines. I have one bag a roller bag with wheels and one which can either fit under seat in front of me or in the overhead locker. What are the current restricitions regarding carry on luggage and liquids taken on board. I enquire as I do not wish to make a complete fool of myself tomorrow afternoon. Best wishes Neil

Hello :D, Well you are not allowed any liquids in your hand luggage so if i were you i would put it all in your suitcase and when you get into the airport you are going to buy something from there as you are allowed to do that. Hope everything goes well
