Eastern Airways to expand from UK hubs
Regional carrier Eastern Airways has announced plans to expand operations at a number of its UK hubs, with most of the developments taking place at Aberdeen Airport and Newcastle Airport, its largest bases.From March 3rd, there will be frequency increase on Eastern Airways services from Aberdeen to Newcastle, Southampton and Leeds/Bradford Airport.
The carrier will also offer more flights from Newcastle to Southampton, Cardiff Airport and Stavanger, while Southampton will see more services to Leeds Bradford and Angers Loire.
Chris Holliday, Eastern Airways' chief operating officer, said: "We've provided the business community with a comprehensive network of routes from Aberdeen and Newcastle for many years and this latest expansion demonstrates our commitment to providing the best business schedules from both cities.
"Seat capacity will also be increased by up to 60 per cent on some services with the introduction of our larger Saab aircraft to meet demand."
The regional airline flies to 11 destinations from Aberdeen, which is more than any other carrier.
