McKellen and Stewart take to the stage to wait for Godot

London's wait for Godot is almost over as an acclaimed production of Samuel Beckett's famous play comes to the capital.

Priscilla Queen of the Desert gets rave reviews

The first showing of Priscilla Queen of the Desert in London's West End has led to an outpouring of positive comment.

Priscilla, which is based on the 1994 film of the same name, tells the story of two Australian drag queens and a transsexual travelling across the country.

The stage show, which features former Joseph front-man Jason Donavan, received glittering reviews from the majority of the critics that attended.

Matthew Kelly for London stage

Matthew Kelly is to make his return to the London stage in a new production of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

He will appear in the Lichfield Garrick Rep Company production of the play at the Trafalgar Studio 2, from April 14th until May 9th.

Although he is known by many for his TV presenting, Mr Kelly is a seasoned veteran of the stage and he will play the role of George in the play.

Jerry Springer to appear in Chicago

Fans of Jerry Springer may want to buy theatre tickets this summer as it has been revealed he will join the cast of Chicago.

The US chat show host will play the slick lawyer Billy Flynn in the famous musical from June 1st and as a former lawyer himself, Springer said that there are elements of the character that resonate with him.

"There aren't that many characters I could realistically play on stage, but as a lawyer and someone in show-business there are elements of Billy Flynn that I relate to," he told What's On Stage.
