Heathrow Airport could see the introduction of full body scanners in as soon as three weeks time. 
Flights departing from Manchester Airport and Liverpool Airport in the north-west were cancelled this morning (January 5th) and heavy snowfall and freezing temperatures have been causing travel chaos for many travellers in the UK.
Heathrow Airport could see additional security measures in the form of full-body scanners installed "as soon as is practical", the British Airports Authority (BAA) has said.
