Directions: By car from Edinburgh or Glasgow - take the A9 to Inverness. Exit the A9, following signs for the A82 (Inverness) which will take you past the Thistle Hotel on the right hand side. At the 1st roundabout, go straight on for about a mile, passing Marks & Spencers on your left hand side. Take the right hand lane and go straight through the traffic lights to Academy Street. Go straight down this road through 4 sets of traffic lights and at the fifth set of lights, turn left towards the river. Follow the road round to the left along the riverside. At the bridge, turn immediatley left and the Palace is about 50 yards along on the right hand side.
