Security need to be aware of times booked. I had a small argument when exiting. I was told I was nine hours over time booked when it was actually two - delayed by snow in Germany. Otherwise having never used on site parking before, I would be quite happy to do so again.

Difficult to find a place to park despite arrowed 'space' signs. On entry, contrary to your instructions, machines tell pre-booked customers not to take a ticket which is rather confusing. Ability to walk to airport is brilliant - pity there are no signs though. Exiting was easy. Thank you.

I often have problems with the automatic recognition at this car park but not this time. It was not easy to see the pre-booked lane at the exit until I was right on top of it but it was foggy

Opted for this car park as it was onsite. So thought it would be easy to walk to the terminal if there were no buses. The carpark is very large and was quite full when we arrived so had to park at the furtherest point from the terminal. Just missed a shuttle bus so decided to walk which took about 20mins with 2 kids. On return had to wait about 15mins for bus at midnight. Carpark well lit for night time arrivals. It is all slightly confusing if you prebook and pay but the customer service people on the barriers were helpful. W

Directions for Long Stay

The city airport is just 10 miles from the West End and only three miles from Canary Wharf.

Driving across London is not recommended as its very built up and you will have to pay the congestion charge. We recommend you take junction 30 off the M25 and come into the city on the A13.

Come off junction 30 of the M25 and take the A13 heading into London.
Just after crossing the bridge, take the left hand lane and come off the A13 onto the roundabout junction, sign-posted for the airport and the docks.
Take the first exit off the roundabout down the A1020 Royal Docks Road, keeping to the middle lane.
Once you come to a large roundabout take the second exit heading towards Woolwich Manor Way and over the water.
Follow the road all the way round. When you see the Docklands Light Railway crossing the road above you, take the right hand turn into Hartmann Road, sign-posted for the airport.
From here you can follow signs to the car parking.
